What is happening with Frankie Mariano? He had a great season last year playing in a below average team. Saw him against Hull KR and he seemed heavier than before and cumbersome (although conditions were terrible).

Just watched him in our game against Catalan on Youtube last year and he played really well with some fantastic hits and hard running, scoring a try where he ripped the ball and sprinted half the length of the field to score. Appeared to create another with a massive hit and Hyde collected and ran 50 yards to score.

Mariano on form with his size, speed and power would be an excellent impact player from the bench if not in the starting 13. With the size of the squad we need him playing and performing it may change our narrow defeats into victories....

No. Just a loyal WTW fan hoping that the results start going our way and it looks like if he was on form along with Amor, Lauititi and Aiton in the pack it might just turn it our way and be easier to lay a platform for the backs.

I know it was mentioned that he'd been carrying a knock and Agar said on Yorkshire Radio a few weeks ago that Frankie had had some niggling injuries. He's quality when he's on form.

Can't knock the players though as they're making it difficult for teams to beat them and are playing some good rugby.

According to Andy himself, he is fully fit and available for selection.

I would like to see Ellis but with Aiton and wood playing good, hard to justify dropping them.

That said I don't think Ellis got the opportunity that wood got early season. I hope he is just getting himself ready for when he gets his shot.

IMHO Andy Ellis wouldn't be able to offer any more than Aiton, Wood, John or Smith have offered so far so why drop any of them for him? It was a toss up between Wood and Ellis in pre-season for who took the interchange shirt. Going into the Batley game they both had the chance to take it. And to be honest, Ellis was awful that day and Wood did ok. He has kept the place since and I would imagine will continue to until he or the other 3 are either injured or so far out of form they should no longer be picked ahead of Ellis.

I mentioned this before . He is a quick chisselled 2nd row. He could be really good. We cant make him fat and over bulked it would be stupid. MAriano could be awesome.
