| With King, Lindop and Wrench all out injured, it will be interesting to see who Burgess selects at centre (presumably alongside Tai) for the Widnes game. It feels to me like he has three main options. One, bring in Zac Bardsley-Rowe as a like-for-like replacement. Two, switch Ratchford to centre, although this means disrupting the half-back partnership yet again (some might say that's no bad thing?). Three, switch a back-rower to centre, probably Currie or Russell. This is all presuming that none of those mentioned are dropped or 'rested' after last weekend. Thoughts?

| Wires71: Surely next man up? That would be my preference, yes. Burgess makes that his mantra often enough, so you'd hope he would stick to it. I think it's a good idea to avoid positional changes if you can.

I'd agree with this approach but tempered with a need to be in the hat for the next round, players needing to find a bit of form and some getting themselves off the naughty step. We've three front line centres out, with the one available being the one that was due to be out on loan.

To be honest at the start of the season I saw the CC as a distraction from the main goal of a real go at the title. But I fear it may be our only respite to have a run in the cup to take our mind off matters.

| Well, no Bardsley-Rowe in the squad, so I guess we'll see who Sam regards as being next man up.

Ratchford to centre & Leyland to play in halves is my guess.
