| Played another great game for the Storm, set up 3 tries including 2 length of the field efforts.
Must be a shoe in for the England No6 shirt.

| Who's his competition for 6 for England? Brown? hardly worldclass, Widdop is as you say a shoe-in, but i doubt the storm will release him for this game as its not a full international

| He's going well.
Just don't expect miracles when he's not playing with Smith, Slater and Cronk.

| Despite the disappointments of the last 4 Nations, it seems like it was a good idea to get Widdop to nail his colours to the England mast. I haven’t seen him play this year but he is getting rave reviews in the NRL at 6 and if he plays a full year there then surely he has a chance to play stand off for England
I think his game would complement Brough at 7 and we could actually have a good kicking game from English halves... unheard of in recent history!
We have some good young athletic outside backs playing well in the Super League this year and well off for forwards
I’m beginning to feel optimistic about the English team (which is a bit silly of me as I have had 25 years of hurt but I just can’t help myself!)

| Hope we see him putting Tomkins in under the posts like he did for Slater today. Should be 6 if he keeps up this form but shouldn't be an automatic inclusion just cause he is in the NRL.
But at least players seem to be coming through in some of their weaker positions. Weaker compared to Australia and NZ anyway.
Those outside backs jsut have to learn how to defend now.

I assume you didn't watch the game against Penrith.

| What's the logic behind his move from 1 to 6? Last I saw of him he was tearing things up from fullback, did he move forward to accommodate Slater? Certainly as good as Tomkins without the awful attitude.
