The WCC needs to be played over here during the NRL off-season in order to create the illusion of a competitive fixture between two evenly matched teams from two evenly matched competitions.

It's an exciting idea, but just one thing....wouldnt our SL season have already kicked off by the time this fixture is usually played? It's a long round trip to make when we're already into our campaign. It's always a pre-season game for the Aussies.

Poor Keith....this really is his last refuge as he clutches desperatley for those straws in an attempt to generate some new worm burping material.

Just imagine if the Rhinos did play in Aus and won the game (I wont say Keith would loose credibility as it went a long time ago) we would never see him again and that would be a terrible shame.

For the WCC to remain a legitimate competitive event in the RL calendar, the superior NRL team needs to have handicaps applied in order to even things up. That's why the WCC requires...

1. Home advantage for the SL team.
2. Scheduling during the SL season when the SL team has the advantage of several games under it's belt.
3. Scheduling during the NRL off-season when the NRL team is at it's most vulnerable and under-prepared.
4. An Aussie ref because the English one's appear less inclined to favour the home SL team with all the 50/50 calls.
5. The NRL team to have several key players missing from their NRL Grand Final line-up.
6. Preferably, the NRL team turns up for the game less than a week before the game kicks off.

If all those handicaps above are in place, the SL club has a chance of competing and winning. Remove all those handicaps above and there's a huge risk of an embarrassing blowout scoreline which is not in the best interests of either the WCC, the Super League concept itself and it's credibility.
