If the forwards can emulate the last 2 games we should be in with a shout. Burgess who stated all his outside backs could be missing now saying some injuries are not as bad as first thought. Unfortunately Tom Grant is the man in the middle. What with Captains challenge we could be there until midnight!
After the high of last week I’m giving myself a reality check. We’ve averaged just less than 9 points a game across the last 3 matches, and that really needs to improve. Last week showed just how important the kick chase is in attack, and we need to stay focused in that area. Any decent aerial attacking kick within 30 metres needs bodies on the end of it, not just around opponents, up in the air challenging them. If we’re not gonna be productive attacking through the hands, we’ve sure as hell got to take advantage of at last having a player with an actual kicking game and some three quarters who are decent in the air. Gannon’s also a big athlete if he can get involved in that area. Needless to say, a defensive performance like last week is also gonna give us a decent chance.
